I've been wanting to do some Dungeons and Dragons inspired patterns for awhile. Here's a first stab at a dice pattern. I think this would make for some fun circus leggings.

I'm back from vacation in Montana, and I've been working hard on a pattern for the Spoonflower National Parks contest. My imagery includes mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and the signature red "jammer" busses that traverse Going to the Sun Road.


It needs some polishing still, but here's a first draft:

Henna party

Tonight I invited some girlfriends over to practice henna. It's a wonderfully stringy henna from Rajasthan. It was so easy to draw nice lines, and I added a little cosmetic glitter just for fun. Missed out? I have frozen the rest, and need more practice, so let's get together and I'll draw on you.

I made a lemonade inspired print for this week's Spoonflower contest. I named it "Lemon Party" because I'm a horrible person (don't google that. I'm serious.).  It's now entitled "Lemon Blossom," and apologies for my horrible internet humor.

There's no better way to learn than to get your hands dirty and do it yourself! Making my own wallpaper groups is really helping me understand each group. Today's is p4mg, which has a neat woven quality:
